By the end of World War I, November 11, 1918, more than 17 million people were killed. Ironically, how World War I ended helped set the stage for part 2: World War 2, Which killed over 70 million people!
World War I, World War II: Nationalism and Alliances
This lesson is a brief overview of the themes that contributed to the World Wars.
First, Lets have a look at this political cartoon from just before World War I began:
